Pleasant Stone Devotional Meditation: February 2

"... nevertheless I live ..." ~ Galatians 2:20
Here another sharp edge of are sharpest "clear stone" cuts through to reality. "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live." A contradiction? No. A spiritual truth that must be revealed by the Holy Spirit Himself. One which cannot be grasped with the mind nor set down in words. Certain things can be said about this truth, but perhaps even they will only be known intellectually after the truth itself has been revealed by the Spirit. Here is an excellent example of what Paul meant when he wrote that "the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." I [Eugenia Price, the author] mention this here for you particularly, if you are a new Christian. Don't be discouraged if these pages make no sense to you. Just go on. And trust God to reveal them in His time. When it is just right for you to know them. If you have not received Christ, you are still holding shut the door. Open it, and He will come in and with Him, light. The "nevertheless I live" rings glad bells in your heart, however, if you have begun to experience His life within you. You know now that He did come to bring abundant life, not to squelch you. As you watch Him untangle you and those around you, you know this in a way I could never express. You realize that eternal life is so much more than an endless life. It is a totally new quality of life right here --- now. You look in His face with nothing between you and Him, and your heart sings: "This is living --- because He is life!" And His heart answers yours: "Yes, my beloved ... I am .... life."
"And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent."
